Chaleur Hand Dyed Yarn Sweepstakes (3/16)

 

Spring is almost here!  We've been having some very unusual spring weather around here, it's been sunny and warm(ish) and normally we often have snow and cold weather well into March.   So, to celebrate the arrival of Spring, I'm giving away two skeins of hand dyed yarn from my shop, one skein of "Monster" and one skein of "Chocolate Covered Strawberries"!  Each skein is 220 yards/100 grams of 100% Peruvian Highland  worsted weight wool.

Dash Mate Cell Phone Vent Mount Holder Review and Giveaway (3/12)

I remember when I used to keep a small case full of CD's in my car so that I could have a variety of music to listen to while driving.  Now, it's all on my phone.  Cell phones are such a part of lives today, we take them everywhere and use them in so many ways.  The Dash Mate Cell Phone Mount is a perfect way of utilizing phones in the car while keeping you safe.

All you do is push the mount into your car's vent (only flat vents will work!) and it stays put.  Then your phone is at a height that makes it easy to see and safe to use for things like GPS.  It's adjust able so it fits a variety of sizes, any phones or GPS units from 2-3.5 inches.  I have an iPhone with a huge case (because I end up throwing it across the room at least once a day) and it fit great!  It has a spring mechanism in it so you just slide it open, place your phone in it and it pulls back into place keeping your phone secure.

Baby Comfy Nose Review and Sweepstakes - (2/26)

When I first started seeing these types of products on the market, my first thought was "eww!". But then I saw how they actually worked and I was intrigued. When I was pregnant with my 6 month old and making baby registries, I thought about putting a similar product on my registry, but then I saw that it required you to buy filters and decided against it. Just recently though, I saw the Baby Comfy Nose and saw that it didn't require filters, so I figured I'd give it a shot. It just so happened to arrive when my baby girl was sick. Poor thing was up multiple times a night because her nose was so stuffed up! Seriously, people..I got a lot of use out of the Baby Comfy Nose and was so grateful we had it!  I ended up even keeping it on my nightstand to make it easy to grab when she woke up at night.

Smarty Preschool Adventure Review and Giveaway - 2/18

We homeschool our kids so I'm always on the lookout for new products to add to their education.  With our 4 year old, I'm pretty relaxed about teaching her, but she's so anxious to learn that I've been started teaching her some.  So when I got the chance to review the Smarty Preschool Adventure iPad app, I knew it would be a perfect fit for what we needed!  And it's been great!

The app is bright and colorful, and has a cute little cat...which was a huge hit for the girl who claims to be Supercat ;)  There are several games to play that teach colors, shapes, sorting and more.
