Christmas Ornament Patterns


All patterns use worsted weight yarn and a size 4.0 mm (G) crochet hook.


Sweater
Ch 16 and form a circle
Round 1: Sc around (16)
Round 2: * Sc 3, inc * rep 4 times (20)
Round 3: * Sc 4, inc * repeat 4 times (24)
Round 4: * Sc 5, inc * repeat 4 times (28)
Round 5: * Sc 6, inc * repeat 4 times (32)
Round 6: Skip 8, sc 8, skip 8, sc 8
Round 7-10: Sc around
Slip stitch into next, bind off
Arm
Round 1: Attach yarn to sleeve hole, sc around (8)
Round 2-4: Sc around
Slip stitch into next, bind off1


Mittens:
Make 2
Ch 12, join to form a circle
Round 1-2: Sc around (12)
Round 3: Inc 3, sc 9 (15)
Round 4: Sc 2, 2 tc in next 3, sc 10 (18)
Round 5: Sc 2, skip 6, sc 10 (12)
Round 6-7: Sc around (12)
Round 8: *Sc, dec* 6 times (8)
Round 9: Dec in each
Bind off and weave in ends. 
Cut a 4-6 inch length of yarn and attach a mitten to each end.


stockings

- Worked in a continuous round unless otherwise specified
With white yarn, Sc 6 into a magic loop
Round 1: *Sc 1, inc* 3 times (9)
Round 2: *Sc 2, inc* 3 times (12)
Switch to red yarn
Round 3-7: Sc around
Round 8: Ch 6, skip 6, sc in remaining 6
Round 9: Sc into chain and around (12)
Round 10-14: Sc around
Switch to white yarn,
Round 15: Ch 2 (counts as first dc here and throughout), dc around, slip stitch to join,  (12)
- You will now be joining each round, but will not be turning
Round 16: Ch 2, dc around, slip to join
Round 17: Ch 2, dc around, slip to join, bind off, weave in ends and fold over the white part to make the cuff
Heel:
Round 1: With white yarn, join to heel area and sc 12 around
Round 2: Sc around
Round 3: Dec around (6)
Round 4: Flatten the heel and slip stitch the remaining 6 stitches together to close it up, bind off and weave in ends


Gingerbread man
ch 5
Row 1: Sc in second from chain and across, ch 1and turn (4)
Row 2: Inc, sc 2, inc, ch 1and turn (6)
Row 3: Inc, sc 4, inc, ch 1and turn (8)
Row 4-5: Sc across, ch 1and turn
Row 6: Dec, sc 4, dec, ch 1and turn (6)
Row 7: Dec, sc 2, dec, ch 7 and turn (4 sc + 7 ch)
Row 8: Sc in second ch from hook, and remaining chains, sc across the next 4 sc, ch 7 and turn (10 sc + 7 ch)
Row 9: Sc in second ch from hook and across, ch 1 and turn (16)
Row 10: Sc across, ch 1 and turn
Row 11: Sc 11, ch 1 and turn (11)
Row 12: Sc 6, ch 1 and turn (6)
Row 13: Inc, sc 4, inc (8)
Row 14: Sc across, ch 1 and turn (8)
Row 15: Dec, sc 4, dec, ch 1 and turn (6)
Row 16: Dec, sc 2, dec, ch 1 and turn (4)
Row 17 (leg 1): Inc, sc 1, ch 1 and turn (3)
Row 18-20: Sc across, ch 1 and turn (3)
Row 21: Dec, sc, bind off and weave in ends
Leg 2:
Row 1: Attach yarn to inner sc and sc in same spot, inc in next, ch 1 and turn (3)
Row 2-4: Sc across, ch 1 and turn (3)
Row 5: Sc, dec, bind off and weave in ends


Border: Using white yarn, sc a border around the entire gingerbread man


Embroider as desired


Round 1:Ch 2, sc 3 into second from chain
Round 2: Inc in each (6)
Round 3: *Sc, inc* 3 times (9)
Round 4: Sc around
Round 5: *Sc 2, inc * 3 times (12)
Round 6: *Sc 3, inc* 3 times (15)
Round 7: Sc around
Round 8: *Sc 4, inc* 3 times (18)
Round 9: *Sc 3, inc* 3 times (21)
Round 10-12: Sc around
Round 13: *Sc 5, dec* 3 times (18)
Round 14: *Sc 4, dec* 3 times (15)
Round 15: *Sc 3, dec * 3 times (12)
Switch to silver
Round 16: Sc around, back loop only (12)
Round 17: Sc around
Round 18: Dec in each, back loop only
Slip stitch into next, bind off.


Snowman
Round 1: ch 2, sc 6 into second from hook (6
Round 2: Inc in each (12)
Round 3: *Sc 1, inc* 6 times (18)
Round 4-5: Sc around (18)
Round 6: *Sc 1, dec* 6 times (12)
Round 6: Dec around (6)
Round 7: Inc in each (12)
Round 8: Inc in each (24)
Round 9-12: Sc around (24)
Round 13: *Sc 2, dec* 6 times (18)
Round 14: *Sc 1, dec* 6 times (12)
stuff
Round 15: Dec around (6)
Slip stitch into next, bind off and weave in ends


Scarf:
With red yarn, ch 20-25, cut yarn and pull through.  Trim the ends and pull the strands apart to make the "fringe".  Sew or glue into place.


poinsettia
Round 1: With yellow yarn, ch 2, 5 sc into second ch from hook
Round 2: Inc in each (10)
Petal
Row 1: On front loops only, inc 2, ch 1 and turn
Row 2-4: Sc across, ch 1 and turn
Row 5: Dec across (2), ch 1 and turn
Row 6: Sc across, ch 1 and turn
Row 7: Sc, ch 3, sc
Sc down side of petal and repeat rows 1-7 4 times for a total 5 petals


Leaf
When the final petal is completed, sc into the very first unworked loop from round 2 (you will now be working on the back of the flower)
Row 1: Inc 2, ch 1 and turn
Row 2-6: Sc across, ch 1 and turn
Row 7: Dec across, , ch 1 and turn (2)
Row 8-9: Sc across, ch 1 and turn
Row 10: Sc, ch 3, sc
Sc down side and repeat rows 1-10 once more, bind off and weave in ends


Candy (make 2)
Round 1: ch 2, sc 6 into second from hook (6
Round 2: Inc in each (12)
Round 3: *Sc 1, inc* 6 times (18)
On the first piece, bind off and weave in ends, after the second one, place the two pieces back to back, and begin to sc the edges together
Sc 9, *ch 3 and tc 5 times in same spot, slip stitch 3 down the side*, sc in remaining, repeat from * to *


Christmas Gift Ornament
Round 1: Sc 8 into a magic loop
Round 2: *sc, sc 3 into next*, rep 4 times (16)
Round 3: *Sc 3, sc 3 into next,* rep 4 times, sc 1 (24)
Round 4: Sc around, back loop only
Round 5-8: Sc around
Round 9: *Dec, sc* all around
Round 10: Dec around
Round 11: Dec around, bind off and weave in ends

Using red yarn, tie a little bow around
